The
Children's Advocacy Center is a child-focused
organization in which local professionals work together to
address the investigation, prosecution, and treatment of
child abuse cases in order to prevent further
victimization of children.
The
Children's Advocacy Center is a private non-profit agency
affiliated with Jameson Health System.
The
main goal of the Children's Advocacy Center is to
improve the community's response to child abuse and
neglect and to minimize the trauma to children and their
families.
Working
to help Children
The
Children's Advocacy Center of Lawrence County exists to
guide and support abused children and their non-abusing
family members through the criminal justice and social
service systems by coordinating multidisciplinary services
and providing programs on their behalf.
Through
interagency cooperation the Center offers:

A centralized child-focused facility
for coordination of multidisciplinary services.
·
Nurse Home Visitation programs
for expectant parents/families, families of newborns and
children 0-5, teen parents, first-time parents, and single
parent families.
