CANCER
COMMITTEE
CHAIRMAN’S
LETTER
.The past year has been a rewarding one for
the Jameson Health System Cancer Program.
We have recently learned that our program has been
granted “Approval Award for 3 Years with Commendation” by
the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons.
This distinction is reserved for cancer programs that not
only meet but exceed the extensive requirements of the
Commission and indicates a superior level of comprehensive care
as compared to participating state and national centers.
Our program continues its close affiliation
with the UPMC cancer specialists both in the Medical Arts
facility and in the Lung Clinic with very positive results as
gauged by our patient satisfaction surveys.
This is always rewarding to the many professionals
involved, directly or behind the scenes, in the care of our
patients.
As always, it is the aim of the Jameson
Health System Cancer Program to provide the best available care
locally.
Sincerely,
A.R. Toca, Jr., M.D., FACP, FASCP
