Terri-Ann Gizienski, M.D. Joins Jameson Health System

February 9, 2010 – Jameson Health System is proud to introduce Terri-Ann Gizienski, M.D., as she joins the Medical Dental staff of Jameson Memorial Hospital effective February, 2010.

Board-certified by the American Board of Radiology, Dr. Gizienski offers the most current technologies in breast imaging in non-surgical stereotactic and ultrasound guided breast biopsy procedures.   In stereotactic breast biopsy, a non-surgical procedure, a special mammography machine uses ionizing radiation to help guide the radiologist’s instruments to the site of the abnormal growth and is also performed when the patient or physician strongly prefers a non-surgical method of assessing a breast abnormality. Dr. Gizienski offers this specialized care bringing complete patient breast care to Jameson.

Dr. Gizienski is a graduate of Penn State University , Hershey , PA.   She completed both her residency in radiology and her fellowship in breast radiology at the University of Virginia Hospitals in Charlottesville , VA.   Dr. Gizienski presently serves as Director of Breast Imaging at UPMC-Passavant Hospital .

In addition to joining the Jameson Memorial Hospital Medical/Dental staff, Dr. Gizienski  will offer her special skills and expertise at the new Women's Center at the Jameson South campus beginning February 13, 2010 .  Dr. Gizienski will be working with an experienced team of professionals with special training in mammography and ultrasound to provide the most current technologies in breast imaging.   Non-surgical stereotactic and ultrasound guided breast biopsy procedures will be available in this private women orientated atmosphere.  Biopsy procedures will be completed through the private south campus Same Day surgery area.
