“These
bright young students exemplify the qualities of future
leaders,” said Douglas Danko, president/CEO of Jameson Health
System. “They have demonstrated a sincere commitment to their
studies, athletic pursuits and to volunteering their time and
talents in various capacities. These characteristics are precisely
those which the Jameson Scholarship Award strives to encourage and
recognize.”
Neil
Chessin, vice president of operations, added, “Perhaps the most
difficult task of the selection committee each year is choosing
only two winners, and this year was no exception. All of our
nominees are outstanding young people for so many reasons. They
and their parents should all be extremely proud.”
Since
1996, Jameson Health System has awarded two $500 academic
scholarships to individuals who are dependents of Jameson
employees. The students must meet the criteria for outstanding
academic achievement, extra-curricular activities and responses to
two essay topics.
