– Jameson Friends of Hospice volunteers create “Little Emma”
remembrance bears from an article of clothing that belonged to a
deceased loved one which is presented to the family.
These bears bring a great deal of comfort to families and
they are delighted by the creativity of volunteers in making the
bears. Jameson Hospice
of Lawrence County is in need of seamstresses who are willing to
volunteer time to sew a remembrance bear.
Bear patterns and all materials are provided to volunteers
who can work out of their home and at their own pace.
Hospice
volunteers serve in many ways by keeping the patient company,
listening to patient concerns, being a support to family members,
as well as providing clerical support, fund raising, and providing
a link to the Jameson Hospice staff.
