Hospice Country Hoe-Down
New Castle, PA - Friends of Hospice held their 9th annual
Country Hoe-Down on Friday, July 23rd, from 5 to 8 pm
at the Cascade Park Pavilion in New Castle, Pennsylvania.
Guests enjoyed line dancing to country music played by Disc
Jockey Texas Tony throughout the evening.
Approximately 250 guests dined on a Hoe-Down Country BBQ
menu. Tickets for the
Chinese Auction were sold throughout the evening with winning
tickets drawn at the close of the evening.
Jack
Fulena, Chairman of the event said, “I have been involved in the
hoe-down for the last two years.
This year the event raised approximately $4,000 for
Hospice.” Jameson
Friends of Hospice stage the Country Hoe-Down each year.
Jameson Friends of Hospice are volunteers who dedicate
countless hours to raise money to assist in the care of hospice
patients.
Jameson Hospice
of Lawrence County, “Helping People to Live,” is located at
the South Campus and serves Lawrence, western Butler, southern
Mercer and northern Beaver counties in Pennsylvania.
Hospice care is for physical, social and spiritual needs.
It is a special kind of care for people with terminal
illness and their families. It
is about living life to the fullest in secure and familiar
surroundings with those who matter most, family and friends.
Hospice offers terminally ill patients and family’s peace
of mind as well as an alternative to costly, repeated
hospitalizations.
