Jameson
Limits Patient Visitors Due to Flu Virus
New Castle
,
PA
-
Jameson
Hospital
is requesting the public limit visitation to the hospital due to
the flu virus. This
extends to all areas of care including the Emergency Department
and surgical areas. This
is to maintain comfort, safety, and security and to prevent
exposure to the flu virus. The
Center for Disease Control has identified regional flu activity
throughout
Pennsylvania
.
Certain circumstances may require visitation, and in such cases
families are asked to inform the nursing staff and efforts will be
made to accommodate them.
Jameson recognizes the involvement of
family in patient care and the concern of family members.
The limited visitation will help to reduce the high
incidence of respiratory infections and maintain an environment
more conducive to healing.
Jameson
Hospital
appreciates the public’s understanding and cooperation during
this temporary period of time.
