New Castle, PA - Mohammad I. Ali, MD
received a personal invitation from Pennsylvania’s Attorney
General, Tom Corbett, to participate on the Asian American and
Pacific Advisory Committee in Harrisburg, PA.
In an effort to reach out to this emergent community, Tom
Corbett created the Attorney General’s Asian/Pacific American
Advisory Committee that will serve in an advisory capacity to
alert him on matters of importance to the Asian Pacific community.
Tom Corbett invited Dr. Ali as a member
because of his commitment and leadership in the community.
In his letter of acceptance to Dr. Ali, Tom Corbett said,
“I believe your service on the Committee will prove to be both a
valuable contribution to the Commonwealth, as well as personally
rewarding.” Members
will be appointed for two years.
Dr. Ali will be heading for Harrisburg to attend the first
meeting on March 9th.
This committee will work closely with Asian
Pacific American community groups and leaders across the
Commonwealth and serve as a liaison between the Office of Attorney
General and the Asian Pacific community.
The committee will focus on issues such as consumer
protection and education, healthcare, protection from fraud,
illegal drugs and child predators and will reach out to the Asian
Pacific community regarding services and programs offered by the
Attorney General’s Office.
Dr. Ali attended M.G.M. Medical School,
Indore, India, served his internship and residency in Internal
Medicine at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA and his fellowship
in Pulmonary Disease at Western Pennsylvania Hospital, Pittsburgh.
The American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM)
has certified Mohammad I. Ali, M.D.
who joins a prestigious group of physicians as a Diplomate
of the American Board of Sleep Medicine.
Sleep studies are interpreted at the Jameson Sleep Study
Department located at the Jameson South Campus by Dr. Ali who
serves as the Medical Director.
The American Board of Internal Medicine and the American
Board of Internal Medicine in Pulmonary Disease also certify Dr.
Ali. He is a Fellow
American College of Physicians (FACP) and Fellow American College
Chest Physicians (FCCP).
Dr. Ali, with over 27 years as a member of
the Jameson Medical Dental Staff, presently serves as
Secretary/Treasurer of Jameson Medical Dental Staff and is a
member of the Medical Executive Committee.
Dr. Ali’s primary office is located at 217 N. Jefferson
Street in New Castle.
