Jameson
Health System & Slippery Rock University Collaborate to
Conduct Survey
New Castle, PA –
Mr. Thomas White, President and CEO of Jameson Health System has
announced Jameson will be collaborating with Slippery Rock
University to conduct a community assessment throughout Lawrence
County. It reflects Jameson’s recognition of the importance of
involving the community in its planning process. The assessment
will solicit input from the community regarding its perceptions of
Jameson Health System, the services it offers, and community’s
health care needs.
Under the direction of Mr.
Neil Chessin, Vice President, and Ms. Linda Cody, Director of
Public Relations/Marketing, and working with Dr. John A. Bavaro,
RN, Department of Allied Health, Slippery Rock University, the
study will be developed and conducted to provide valuable
information on the Health System to assist with Jameson’s
strategic planning and identifying future services and programs
which could be offered to the community.
To ensure community
involvement throughout all phases of the process, an Advisory
Group has been convened. The group consists of broad
representation from members of the Lawrence County Community
including clergy, board members from Jameson Health System,
clinicians, community leaders, and the general public. Students
from Dr. Bavaro’s Planning and Evaluation Course at Slippery
Rock University will be involved in the assessment process so that
they may learn about the importance of such planning in meeting
the healthcare needs of a service population.
