Jameson's Partial Hospitalization Program Survey

Jameson’s Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) underwent an annual licensing survey by the Pennsylvania Department of Health on January 20th. The surveyor toured the department, reviewed policies and records, conducted staff and client interviews and observed group interaction.

This resulted in a deficiency-free survey.  The surveyor praised the staff for the excellent documentation and therapy provided in the Partial Hospitalization Program. The surveyor commented that Jameson’s PHP program has established a very positive reputation at the state level.

Jameson’s Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is a structured treatment program providing psychotherapy, medication management and group support without the restrictions of inpatient care. This aspect of Behavioral Health Services is a day program that supports transition from acute services (5 days per week) to standard services (3 days per week) as treatment goals are met. PHP offers another level of treatment that may help prevent inpatient hospitalization or help transition patients from inpatient hospitalization back into the community.

Cindy Warso RN, BC BSN, is the Program/Nurse Manager of Behavioral Health Services and is responsible for directing the PHP program.  S. Matta, M.D. is the Medical Director of the Partial Program. Stephane Elisco MSW, LSW is the social worker.  Jill Bordonaro RN is the charge nurse and Roxanne Atterholt and Katelyn Falen are counselors for the Partial Hospitalization Program. The treatment provided focuses on group therapy sessions but limited individual sessions are provided as well.  Partial Hospitalization Program is a short-term therapy based stabilization program with clients averaging twenty visits. This therapy provides intense interaction time with clients.  Clients utilize each other’s experiences in-group and are able to apply this to their own situations.
