Jameson Hospital – North Campus Power Has Been Restored

New Castle , PA – July 28, 2008 – Power to Jameson Hospital’s North Campus in New Castle has been fully restored.

A cooling unit failed at approximately 4:00 a.m. on Monday, July 28, and resulting water from the unit is believed to have caused a series of fuses to blow, initiating the emergency power system. The fuses were successfully replaced and the facility is now running on its own power and at full capacity.

No loss of power was experienced in the emergency department or essential clinical areas due to successful operation of the hospital’s emergency generator. Patient care was not adversely affected, and at no time were patients, the public or employees in any danger.
