Sponsors Wellness Event

The Jameson Health System and the Lawrence Village Plaza Merchants Association will sponsor a “Summer Fun and Wellness Event” on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at Lawrence Village Plaza, 2650 Ellwood Road from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  The event will focus on family health issues especially those relevant during the summer months. 

Jameson Hospital Community Education Staff will present programs on internet/child safety, breast cancer prevention, summer health and safety, fireworks safety, handling summer vacation stress, BMI /healthy eating, blood pressure screening, colorectal cancer screening, asthma awareness, and tobacco/smoking cessation/breathing test for lung function. 

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department will demonstrate gun safety and the Shenango Township Police Department will demonstrate child fingerprinting.  GNC will present a program on the benefits of vitamins, ProFitness on fitness education and massage demonstration by Lawrence County Medical Massage. 

The event is free and open to the public with door prizes, giveaways and lunch specials.
