JAMESON
SCHOOL OF RADIOGRAPHY GRADUATION
New
Castle, PA - Jameson’s 29th radiography
graduating class held their ceremonies at the Jameson South
Conference Center Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at 7 p.m.
There
were eleven total graduates, nine in radiography, one in nuclear
medicine and one in Ultrasound.
Five of the radiography graduates have accepted positions
with the Jameson Health System and others will pursue further
education in specialty programs both at Jameson and at Community
College of Allegheny College.
Several students received awards for outstanding
clinical and classroom work.
Graduating student Jillian R. Rapone received both the Penn
Imaging Clinical Excellence Award, and the Elsevier Award for
Academic Excellence. The
Phoenix Award, which is given to the graduating student who had to
overcome the most personal obstacles during their training,
went to Cecilia R. Garcia. Outstanding
Patient Care awards went to graduating seniors Krystal L.
Elford and Stacy Winters and to first year students Ashley Work
and Valerie Hennon. The Horizon Award
given for excellence in academics, attendance, appearance,
attitude, and clinical aptitude was given to first year student
Shelley Wickline.
Master
of ceremonies Bob Ondo, and Jane Beight, Administrative Director
Medical Imaging, and David W. Hyser, Director School of
Radiography, spoke during the ceremony.
Mr. Eugene DeCaprio, Director of Westminster College
Celebrity Series, gave the keynote address.
