– Thomas White, FACHE, President & CEO of Jameson Health
System, was recently named one of two statewide recipients of the
American Hospital Association Political Action Committee’s Most
Valuable PAC Player Award for
Pennsylvania
. The award was announced by the Hospital & Healthsystem
Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) in cooperation with the American
Hospital Association (AHA).
Each year,
the American Hospital Association Political Action Committee
recognizes two hospital executives from each state for their
support of the AHAPAC and The Hospital & Healthsystem
Association of Pennsylvania Political Action Committee.
The award is presented to individuals who have gone above and beyond
the fund raising “call of duty” in relation to HAP’s state
and federal fund raising efforts in 2007.
“I am indeed honored to have won this award
and to be recognized by my colleagues for supporting the efforts
of these two organizations,” said White. “But most important
to me is the hard work that their political action committees
perform by lobbying at the state and federal levels on behalf of
community-based, locally-managed health systems like Jameson.”
White will be formally presented with his
award during the 2008 HAP Advocacy Day event taking place in
Harrisburg
on May 13 and May 14. He will also be recognized during the 2008
AHA Annual Meeting in
Washington
,
DC
on April 6-9.
