In order to
continue providing the best possible care to injured,
disabled and post-operative individuals, Jameson
Rehabilitation Centers will close its aging Shenango
Rehabilitation Center at 2715 Ellwood Rd., New Castle and
consolidate operations to its modern, well-equipped Neshannock
Rehabilitation Center, located at 3410 Wilmington Road in New
Castle, effective
June 1, 2009

Ensuring continuity
of care, all current
Shenango
Rehabilitation
Center
staff members will move to the Neshannock location and will
continue seeing their patients from Shenango. No positions will be
eliminated as a result of the consolidation of services.
In order to
introduce Shenango Rehabilitation Center patients to the
Neshannock facility, an open house and reception is planned for
Thursday, May 14 from
noon
5:30 p.m.
Guests will be given tours of the facility and have an opportunity
to meet staff members, ask questions and enjoy light snacks and
refreshments.
Consolidating rehabilitation services to the Neshannock location
allows Jameson Rehabilitation Services to operate more
efficiently, ultimately benefiting our patients, said Neil
Chessin, vice president of operations for Jameson Health System.
Many costly repairs and renovations would be necessary to
improve the existing Shenango facility. These resources are better
invested in staffing and service improvements.

Jameson Rehabilitation Services provide personalized programs to help
ensure that each patient can achieve the maximum possible return
to the functional activities of daily living.
Jameson Rehabilitation Center of Neshannock is located at
3410 Wilmington Road
in
New Castle
. Hours of operation are
7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
, Monday through
Friday. Special appointments can also be made to better suit
varied work or school schedules.
