The Jameson Junior Guild met at the New
Castle Country Club on Tuesday, May 22, for their annual spring
luncheon.
Guild President, Shirley McMillan, presented
a $250,000 check to Thomas White, President and CEO of Jameson
Health System. Mr.
White thanked the Guild for all the support they have given for
the benefit of the patients and for their dedication and
willingness to work for others.
McMillan opened the business meeting and
reported that active Guild members volunteered 22,936 hours,
associate members worked 961 this past year, and three women
worked over 1,000 hours each.
Guild workers are required to work 100 hours per year in
areas such as staffing the three gift shops, sewing or helping
with sales.
The new officers for 2007-08 were installed.
They are President, Shirley McMillan, Vice President;
Margery Weyrick, Treasurer, Thelma Turner; Corresponding
Secretary, Eleanor Boyles; and Recording Secretary, Janet
Burkholder.
New members who were recognized were Muriel
Jay, Catherine Smith, Rosemary Markowicz and Emogene Zrobas.
