STATEMENT                                    

New Castle, PA - According to Mr. Thomas White, CEO/President, Jameson Health System – Jameson’s only knowledge of a lawsuit is the information provided in the New Castle News article dated October 10, 2003.  Jameson has not had the opportunity to review allegations against it but believes there is no basis for any claims.

The only obligation Jameson had to former St. Francis New Castle employees was in relation to their pension fund.  Jameson not only met those obligations, but also went beyond its duties in fully funding the previously under-funded plan.  All other employee issues were matters to be handled through the ongoing Orphan’s Court proceedings in Pittsburgh and did not involve Jameson.
