Jameson Hospital has joined the ranks of the
country’s premier healthcare providers that offers patients
advanced, state-of-the-art CT technology by installing the
Aquilion ä
64 from Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc.
The Aquilion 64 captures precise images with
pristine clarity and speed in as little as one breath hold. Chest
exams that once took 20-30 minutes with standard CT scans can now
be performed in just 19 seconds, allowing physicians to see
internal injuries, cancer, blood clots and disease faster and in
greater detail than before. For
trauma patients, the Aquilion 64 may prove to be lifesaving
technology by providing faster images of internal injuries.
Jan
e Beight, Director of Imaging Services at Jameson says “The
latest CT technology is a benefit to the patient, the physician,
and to the Medical Imaging Department.
The patients experience a faster procedure.
The physician is afforded the highest resolution and
quality images possible. And
because we can deliver faster exams, our department’s capacity
is increased to handle more patients per day.”
