Fernando D. Hayetian, M.D., Joins Jameson Medical Staff 

New Castle , PA – September 15, 2008 – Jameson Health System is proud to introduce Fernando Hayetian, M.D., as he joins the surgical staff of Jameson Memorial Hospital effective September 15, 2008 .

Dr. Hayetian provides general and minimally invasive surgical procedures.

A 1996 graduate of the University of Buenos Aires (U.B.A.) School of Medicine , Dr. Hayetian also completed a five-year general surgery residency in Argentina . He then moved to Pittsburgh to complete a two-year research fellowship in minimally invasive surgery, followed by a five-year general surgery residency at Western Pennsylvania Hospital , Pittsburgh , where he also served as chief resident.

During his research fellowship and residency, Dr. Hayetian participated in the publication of articles in national surgical journals and in podium presentations at several local and international conferences. He has been the recipient of numerous professional awards for his research, presentations and clinical excellence.

Dr. Hayetian and his wife are in the process of moving to the area with their four month-old daughter. “I look forward to serving the people of Lawrence County and making a home for my young family here in New Castle ,” he said. “I am pleased to be joining Jameson’s respected medical staff and to begin providing care for members of the community.”
