Goals

The goals of the Jameson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing are to:

1.           Admit students who are academically qualified and demonstrate an interest and 
         motivation for nursing.

2.      Prepare graduates who utilize the nursing process and integrate scientific 
         principles as beginning professional nurses in a variety of health care settings.

3.      Enable graduates to pursue personal and professional development through 
         educational mobility.

4.      Inspire graduates to share in the overall responsibility for health care and wellness 
         through active participation in professional organizations and community services.

5.      Ensure program excellence through support of Faculty with professional ideals 
         and didactic and clinical proficiency.

6.      Satisfy requirements of accrediting bodies by providing an organized educational 
         program and sound resources for students and Faculty that reflect our 
         philosophical position.

7.      Facilitate successful licensure of our graduates.

The vision of the Jameson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing is to continue to prepare graduates to achieve educational outcomes that allow them to meet the holistic and ever-changing, health care needs of individuals, families, and communities throughout the life span.
